Attendee Commitment to Safety Agreement and Waiver and Release
International Transplant Nurses Society (“ITNS”) recognizes that the safety of all of those on site at the 2023 ITNS Annual Symposium is our top priority. Our Commitment to Safety Agreement is a living document that will continue to evolve based on state and federal guidance to ensure that all participants are as committed as we are to following safety and health protocols on site.
As an event participant:
- I agree to comply with all health and safety guidelines put forth related to this event and am committed to taking precautions recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control and local and federal agencies for Covid-19 and any other communicable diseases.
- I will not attend any ITNS event if I have had recent exposure to a COVID-19 case or experienced any symptoms of COVID-19 within five days of the event. If you have any symptoms, we ask that you please stay at home and enjoy our virtual symposium. Check potential symptoms using the CDC’s COVID-19 Self-Checker.
- I understand that my failure to comply with all safety protocol procedures as listed above or any direction from ITNS staff or instructors on site may result in loss of right to attend or participate in the ITNS event, including forfeiting any registration fees paid.
- I hereby release and waive my right to bring suit against ITNS, its officers, directors, instructors, employees, or other representatives for fault in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of communicable diseases related to attending its event.
All registering in-person attendees will be asked to agree to the above statements in order to complete the registration process.
Attendee Code of Conduct
ITNS is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all meeting participants and ITNS staff. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, ITNS staff members, service providers, and all others are expected to abide by this Annual Meeting Code of Conduct.
ITNS has zero-tolerance for any form of discrimination or harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment by participants or our staff at our meetings. If you experience harassment or hear of any incidents of unacceptable behavior, ITNS asks that you inform Carol Pape CAE, Executive Director ([email protected]) or call (847) 375-6340 so we can take the appropriate action.
Unacceptable Behavior is defined as:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Verbal abuse of any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ITNS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.
- Examples of verbal abuse include, but are not limited to, verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, national origin, inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations, or threatening or stalking any attendee, speaker, volunteer, exhibitor, ITNS staff member, service provider, or other meeting guest.
- Disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by ITNS throughout the meeting. All participants must comply with the instructions of the moderator and any ITNS event staff.
- Presentations, postings, and messages should not contain promotional materials, special offers, job offers, product announcements, or solicitation for services. ITNS reserves the right to remove such messages and potentially ban sources of those solicitations.
- Participants should not copy or take screen shots of Q&A or any chat room activity that takes place in the virtual space.
ITNS reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without warning or refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior, and ITNS reserves the right to prohibit attendance at any future meeting, virtually or in person.
Photography and Video Policy
Photographs and videos may be taken of participants to be used only by ITNS and its association management company on ITNS's website, in printed brochures, or in other promotional or informational materials.
